At Fair Lawn Driving School, we strive to provide an exceptional experience for our students and their families. Whether you’re a 16-year-old, just learning to drive, a 17-year-old with a permit in hand, an adult looking to get your NJ driver’s license, a corporation interested in programs for your employees, or even a new parent who is looking to have your au pair evaluated, we have programs designed to meet your needs!
We strive to meet both the scheduling and instructional needs of our clients. Each student is assessed and evaluated throughout our training program.
When it comes to new drivers, close monitoring and evaluation allows for parent, student and instructor interaction with regard to necessary skills related to becoming a safe and responsible driver. Your satisfaction is important to us, so please feel free to provide your feedback throughout the process.
Safety Is Our Top Priority
We ensure student safety by implementing the following:
- Dual Controlled Brakes: Each car has a secondary break on the passenger side to ensure that proper speed / stopping distance is adhered to.
- Dual Mirrors: We see what our students see. This allows us to react proactively and advise on proper maneuvering.
- Wheel Guidance: If the student begins to drift, the instructor will gently guide the wheel to the appropriate position.

Corporate Driver Training
Fair Lawn Driving School has been working with many large companies across the Tri-State Area to help reduce their risk of collisions. We have found that many of our companies experience a reduction of approximately 25% in collisions, in just the first year of implementing a driver safety program with our company. - Driver Evaluation: In this one-to-one on-the-road driver training, the driver and our experienced instructor take to the road for evaluation and instruction on good driving procedures and habits essential to ensure increased safety and fewer motor vehicle collisions.
- Driving Skills: Through closed course range exercises, the employee learns the skills to maneuver a vehicle and improve their judgment to help reduce incidents of fixed object collisions.
- Classroom Classes: Rather than provide a “one-size-fits-all” approach to classroom instruction, our company provides defensive driving instruction that is customized to address problems unique to your company’s drivers and vehicles.

Mature Driver (Senior) Evaluation
Nothing is more difficult than worrying about your elderly family members and their ability to drive safely. This can be due to age or even a life changing experience.
At Fair Lawn Driving School, we offer Mature Driver Evaluations that allow our instructors to observe the driver and conduct a detailed report. This helps in understanding your loved ones strengths, weaknesses and driving ability. During these evaluations, our instructors are being mindful of the proper maneuvering of the vehicle, the traffic laws, and ability for your loved one to safely operate the vehicle.

Au Pair Evaluation
At the Fair Lawn Driving School, we can offer you the sense of security and peace of mind, because nothing is more important than the safety of your child.
Our Driving School has conducted countless au pair evaluations, for many cautious parents like you.
During our time with the au pair, we will conduct a thorough evaluation to assure the au pair is a safe, responsible and confident driver.
A detailed evaluation report is given to you upon completion of the time spent with our instructor.
